Grading a Google Drive File in Speedgrader.

If you allowed for online file submissions, students will be able to browse their Google Drive folder and submit any document from their Drive. Files will be copied to their MS Office counterparts so that they will work with Crocodocs and other external tools. This also makes it so teachers have the version of the file at the time of submission. In the example below, you can leave comments using Crocodocs, grade with any attached rubrics and leave video, audio or text comments.

If you allow for URL submissions, students can submit the URL for their Google Drive file. Canvas will take a screenshot at the time of submission and you can click on the link in Speedgrader to have the file fully rendered in Canvas. This way you can leave comments directly in the Google Drive file, switch to suggesting mode and use any other relevant Google add-ons. You can also grade with Canvas rubrics and leave audio, video and text comments.
